Welcome from the HeadTEACHERS
This is possibly the start of the two most incredibly exciting and defining years of your life… You will finally be studying the subjects that you are really interested in, taught by expertly qualified teachers who have a strong passion for their subjects, and the enthusiasm to lead you on a successful journey to university first, and hopefully life…
Welcome from the Headteachers
At the West London Free School Sixth Form we have the highest aspirations for all of our students. We provide an outstanding academic curriculum and encourage students to become confident, hard working and ambitious. Our highly qualified Sixth Form staff are all subject specialists and experts in their respective fields. Students are taught in small classes by teachers who are truly passionate about their subjects. For us, education is about far more than passing exams. We encourage our students to think widely and deeply about wider issues: politics, global affairs, the economy, literature, science and the arts, as well as about moral, ethical and philosophical issues.
Situated on its own dedicated site, our Sixth Form has been specially designed to provide a positive environment in which to learn, study, develop and thrive. As a music specialist school, pupils are encouraged to engage with varied and ambitious musical projects, whether they are studying A level music or not. This fosters a close and inclusive community and we are confident that you and every single student in the Sixth Form will enjoy a sense of belonging – from the friendships you will form to the strong working relationships with your teachers and pastoral support staff. Because ours is a smaller Sixth Form, every student is known as an individual, which feeds into the outstanding teaching, support and mentoring we provide.
Our aims are simple:
- to provide an excellent education within a supportive environment
- to give you every possible opportunity to achieve success
- to instil in you the very highest aspirations for your future
Previous students have gone on to some of the best universities in the UK and Europe, as well as outstanding Art and Music colleges. Others have chosen to take up good quality apprenticeships. We are proud of each and every one. Come and visit us. Talk to students, talk to members of staff, imagine what it might be like to study with us – it is a unique experience.
