A Level Results 2019

This year’s A Level cohort of the West London Free School achieved excellent results. 30% of the grades were A*-A, 58% A*-B and 76% A*-C. 13% of students achieved exclusively A* and A grades. At least 60% students will be studying at Russell Group universities; at least 90% of our Year 13 students are going to university and this number will increase, as some are applying through Clearing today.

We had three Oxbridge successes. We have one student going to Cambridge to study Natural Sciences at St John’s College. We also have two students going up to Oxford, one to read Classics and the other to read Human Sciences

Several pupils gained straight A* and A grades and will be studying at highly prestigious institutions on very competitive courses, notably Medicine at Bristol and Queen Mary’s, History, Maths, Engineering, Politics and International Relations and English at Bristol, Astrophysics at St. Andrew’s, Theology at Edinburgh, Law at Nottingham and Manchester, and Economics at UCL, to name just a few.

We are also delighted that several girls achieved top grades and will be going to university to study a wide range of courses, including very competitive STEM courses at Russell Group universities, such as Medicine, Pharmacy, Natural Sciences, Biomedical Sciences and Electrical Engineering.

Many of our students have met their offers from their first or second choice of university and are going to study a wide range of subjects in addition to those mentioned above, such as History of Art, Psychology, Music and Computer Science.

Art students have also excelled this year. Not only did they all achieve excellent grades, but many of them have gained places on highly prestigious Art Foundation courses such as those at Kensington & Chelsea, Camberwell, Kingston and Epsom.

"I am extremely proud of these successes, which are undoubtedly due to the hard work of the students, the expertise and dedication of the staff here and the strong academic Classical Liberal ethos that is at the heart of the school. Several of our students are the first in their family to go to university; a fact of which we are particularly proud. We also have students who are pursuing careers in Fashion, Midwifery and Nursing, as well as one who is going to train as a commercial pilot."
