WLFS Secondary

The Knowledge Schools Trust

We aim to provide children with a classical liberal education, regardless of background or ability.

Franklin House Facilities

The Sixth Form aims to provide a bridge between secondary school and university by offering a range of facilities that students can use for private study, research and discussions, including the library and hall.

Library

A library is at the heart of an academic school.

In addition to the principal textbooks for each subject, the library contains numerous opportunities for students to expand their wider subject knowledge beyond their A-level courses, which is increasingly a vital component of a successful university application. Our library also includes access to periodicals – such as the Economist and New Scientist – so that our students can remain fully abreast of recent developments in their particular fields of study. Students studying the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) for their enrichment option will find the resources in the library particularly useful for conducting their research. There is WiFi throughout the library and students are welcome to bring laptops and tablets to work on should they wish.

Hall

The Sixth Form hall is an informal environment where students can work and relax during breaks between lessons, before and after school, and during independent study periods.

The hall is equipped with comfortable seating and there are numerous charging points, with WiFi throughout. This is also where we hold our Guest Speaker talks, as well as music and drama events.
